Sat. June 3rd: Welcome to Seattle Saira Buffalo, New York Party

When: 9pm

Why: After spending the past few years living in our nation’s capital (Washington, D.C.) Saira could have lived anywhere in the world. After all, the woman spent two years shacked up in the Ukraine. So when we say anywhere, we f-in’ mean it. However, Saira decided to attend the Evans School at the U-Dub and join her boyfriend Jason in Seattle. Even though she is now making her home in the Emerald City, like anyone born and raised in Buffalo, she can’t help and be a smidge bit homesick for the Erie Canal plateau. To lessen this longing we will bring her a touch of the 716.

What we will serve: Buffalo Wings, Buffalo Style Hot Dogs, Labatts Blue, and Molson.

What to bring: Don’t be a Syracusite, bring beer.

What to wear: Thurman Thomas’ helmet.

Whom to invite: Friends, co-workers, and Big Russ.

Whom not to invite: Leon Czolgosz.

BBQ on Saturday for Author and Sister

One of Seth's oldest friends just had his first novel, Red Weather, published by Random House. It's being reviewed by The New York Times Book Review, NPR, and the literary journal that inspired him to become a writer, People Magazine.

Meredith the sister who has been his rock the last two years is having a birthday, where she can be celebrated as am amazing person.

On Saturday we are throwing them a BBQ following Pauls' reading at the Elliot Bay Book Company.

So is Seth going to inform the public? Is Seth going to scream from the rooftops about this once and a life time event?

No.

Seth is too busy at work to let anyone know about this. That is right, he is putting work before loved ones...don't cry for him he is already dead.

This Saturday following Pauls' 4pm Elliot Bay Reading please join us to celebrate the written word and the birth of Meredith Sandra Kolloen.

Bring drinks, meat, friends, and the memory of our soldiers.

If we can pry Seth away from his TPS reports he will be there as well.

Holding 'Em for a Good Cause

The following is a PSA from the boys of The Corliss Reunion Special:

The trip is focused around community development through non-profit organization called I Love Baseball. Bring your bad self and any friends who like to play cards or might be interested in making a donation. The winner of the poker tournament will receive winnings in the form of a gift to be determined.

May 22nd: We'll be Winning the War on Terror in Our Basement

At El Casa we thank God every morning that Jack Bauer is on America's side in the War on Terror. We also acknowledge that he's the only thing between us and a NAFTA-inspired double invasion by a Mexi-Canadian alliance. Well, him and Chloe O'Brian (her and her dorkily aluring self, we think Seth's in love).

In order to properly celebrate all that Jack Bauer does for us, we're having a 24 Season Finale Social on May 22. All y'all are invited to come on over and enjoy two hours jam-packed with Bauer-licious intensity. If you're hardcore, you'll dress up like a character from the show (David has already claimed the role of CTU computer tech #3, sorry).

The two-hour season finale starts at 8pm and the ass kicking will begin at 8:00:01pm. Don't be late!

HUGE UPDATE OF MONUMENTAL IMPORTANCE:
We will have the secondary TV set up on Monday during 24 so we can view important NBA basketball happenings along with events crucial to our national security.

No Mas

The stomach ache Heard Round the Lake never came Saturday morning. We pledged to hold the 7502 Cinco de Mayo Taco Bell Eating Contest, unlike another idea we won’t mention.

As the evening un-folded we truly intended to hold the contest. David went off to the “Awesome” show while Seth and Jason met up to watch Garfield take on Skyline in exciting WIAA soccer action. The plan was to meet up later, and then live the dream.

However, Jason and Seth ended up at sister McDonald Kelly’s house for a Cinco de Mayo party with the UW’s women’s basketball team. After arriving David joined Seth discussing the benefits of low mortgage home loans with some of the guests. All the blank stares meant it was time to move on. Jason stayed behind to have the time of his life playing the newest craze among student athletes-- continuous movement beer pong.

David and Seth went to the Scottish Bar down the street, thanking all deities that we were not here.

That is how the best idea ever to originate at a Sunday night Ivar’s happy hour never actually happened.
