A sunny December day in Seattle is the perfect opportunity for sitting in the basement and watching sports

David, Seth, Jason and special guest Levi watched the early morning Seahawks game, the indisputable highlight of which was Shawn Alexander getting THE STREAK.

Then, because Fox decided to televise meaningless games, David headed off to a friend's house, Levi headed off to we're not sure where, and left Jason and I alone to hold each other and cry during the Huskies' obliteration at UCLA.

Now it's San Francisco/Denver in overtime, an SF win would mean the Hawks win over Denver knocked the Broncos out of the playoffs, a result that would thrill us for various reasons we can barely remember.

"No! No! Maybe!"--The Ugly Sweater Party

Photos.

On Friday night, Clint and Steve threw the 2006 edition of their Sweater Party--and they did it in our house ("We must protect this house!").

The festivities really started Friday afternoon when Steve and Clint arrived, Cat in the Hat-style with a bag full of fun. They swept through the house, decorations in hand, and before we knew it, el casa had more holiday cheer than you can shake a stick at (It was so yuletide that we nearly crapped ourselves). Oh yeah, they brought booze, too: lots of booze.

The boys got geared up in their holiday best Seth had a phenomenally horrible Monopoly sweater, David wore a Christmas sweater that could single-handedly turn the tide in the war against Christmas, and Jason, in premature memory of Saddam Hussein, wore a sweater vest over a Moroccan djellaba.

The party started, people rolled in, and our heros realized this would be a good night. We also realized We need to have more parties. The glog, beer, and eggnog flowed, horrible sweaters proliferated, and bad judgement reigned (more on that later). It was a good time.

Congratulations are in order to Michelle, who won the Best Holiday Sweater award, and to the tree girls who won the Best Worst Swater Award for their coordinated sweater dresses. Seth got an honorable mention for his sweater, and a Party MVP award for being the guy who everyone saw making out during the party.

Obviously, we need to have more parties. Thank you Steve and Clint for showing us the light. A special thanks to Clint for giving the carpet the eggnog and seltzer bath it so badly needed.

DON'T TELL US THE SCORE!!!

Because we have invited women into our lives we will all be missing the UDub v. Gonzaga game on Saturday night. Not to worry, however, we will TiVo it and watch it first thing Sunday morning. Which will of course cause the women to in our lives to leave us, twelve hours too late.
