Friday, June 8th: Saira's Birthday Party

Saira is turning 28 years old and we're going to celebrate by taking her back to her Peace Corps days and celebrating Ukraine-style! You can find a primer on Ukrainian culture here.

When: Friday, June 8, 8:00pm

What we will serve: Traditional Ukrainian food, the keyboard on this computer doesn't really let us spell the name of anything we're serving.

What to bring: Something to drink that will accompany vodka shots and whatever Slavic beer we can find.

What to Wear: Traditional Ukrainian garb. Only Saira really knows what this is, so you can pretty much get away with whatever.

Why: In short, there will not be a bigger Ukrainian-themed birthday celebration for a Polish-Pakistani girl from Upstate NY in Seattle this year. It's THAT BIG!

Who to invite: People who like Poland, Pakistan, Ukraine, Peace Corps, International Development, Hockey, David Grohl, beer, vodka, beets, or grad students. Or this guy, Saira's always loved him.
