Wow, We Watched a Ton of Football

Last Saturday was a time to sit on ones tush for eight hours and watch college football, and that is exactly what we did. It wasn’t just the Apple Cup that had us gain a collective twenty-seven pounds, it was also the Pac-10 Championship game, and of course THE BIGGEST FOOTBALL GAME IN THE HISTORY OF ALL THE UNIVERSES COMBINED AND MULTIPLIED BY ONE HUNDRED-- # 1 Ohio State vs. #2 Michigan.

We were joined in three hour shifts by Levi, Seth’s dad Larry, Josh, Mike, Saira, Sarah, and Courtney, who ditched her husband’s rich friend’s Cougar party out in Lake Sammamish to hang out in our basement and eat apple chicken sausage and chips and salsa off of our hobo table. Hmmmm we fear, that there soon may be a Judkins Park condo on the market.

The Apple Cup was made more enjoyable by our concoction of hot apple cider with cinnamon and rum. We had so much of it to drink that it appeared the Huskies were winning.

Oh my goodness, they are!

With one last chance for the Cougars, a fourth and twelve with just over a minute left, the decision was made that Seth and David would hike up their pants well above their nipple lines. It worked. A sack. Game over. The Cougars were foiled again.

At 8:30, eight hours after it was turned on, our poor television was shut down, and we all went our separate ways.

Except for the comedy stylings of Dusty and a delightful BBQ pizza made from scratch by Jason Sunday's football action just didn’t have the same magic.
