Sat Nov 18-- Apple Cup and College Football Blowout

When: Saturday November 18, 12:30pm.

What we will serve: Apple Chicken Sausage, Apple Pie, Apple Sauce, Swidler’s Special Apple Soda, and uhhh, beer.

What to bring: Anything but chips. Before games we always buy chips and then they just sit in our basement for the next week until we have no choice but to eat them. They fill our belly and make us fat. So if you’re going to be wonderful enough to bring something, please don’t bring chips.

Why: There are three very exciting football games on the picture box that day.

First Ohio State will play Michigan. This annual contest is always a good game. However, this year the teams are ranked number one and two, so the overwhelming hype that is sure to crush our soul, will also get more excited for kickoff then say, the birth of a child.

Then at 3:45 the Apple Cup starts…we wish we had more to say about this game, but really, that’s about it. Even though it may not have the sparkle of years past it’s still the Apple Cup, and we always get excited about that.

At 5pm, the mythical Pac-10 Championship game between Cal and USC hits the airwaves (literally). This game will start off on the little TV, but end up on the big screen. David recently spent some time in Berkeley with Bears fans, so trust us when we tell you, that if they lose this game, Tilden Park will be site of a mass suicide.

Holly crap, this could be the greatest day of our life.

Who to invite: Fans of football, rivalries, and sitting in our basement for eight hours.

Who not to invite: Relatives of Knute Rockne. He ruined the game by introducing the forward pass.
